Us

We are an independent member-led group established for the purpose of promoting and influencing an enabling policy environment for the Nigerian Financial and Professional Services (FPS) sector.

The Nigerian FPS sector comprises the Banking and Finance, Insurance, Pensions, Asset Management, Capital Markets and Green Finance, Islamic Finance, FinTech, Law, Accounting and Consulting subsectors.

Our goal is to support the growth and development of Nigeria’s Financial and Professional Services sector and the economy.

Nigeria’s Financial and Professional Services (FPS) sector contributes significantly to the nation’s economic growth and hence is crucial to enabling the positive development of the economy. Yet, amongst the many subsectors within Nigeria’s FPS, only the banking subsector has made giant strides in the last few decades achieving about 60% penetration in Nigeria with strong African footprints and international presence in key financial markets.

This growth needs to be sustained and replicated across other subsectors if we are to advance the impact of the FPS, greatly strengthen the economy, and position Nigeria as a prime financial center for Africa. To do this, the sector needs an enabling and stable policy environment built, grown, and maintained by deliberate effort.

This is where EnterpriseNGR comes in.

Nurturing an enabling environment for engagement.

EnterpriseNGR nurtures an enabling environment for engagement with policymakers and champions business sector advocacy domestically and internationally. This is while working together with government authorities and key stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes that would lead to economic growth and development.

Supporting the formation of policies

As a consolidated advocacy group, we support government and regulators in the formation of policies that improve the performance of FPS sector operators in Nigeria. These policies will result in increased tax receipts for the government, increased credit to the real sector, and overall increased employment opportunities. We take pride in advocating for the FPS sector and the interest of our members.

OUR HISTORY

How We Started

EnterpriseNGR was incorporated as a professional policy and advocacy group, registered as a company limited by guarantee and established to promote and advocate for the Financial and Professional Services (“FPS”) sector of Nigeria, with a view to transforming Nigeria into the premier financial services center in Africa. The FPS sector includes Banking, Insurance, Pensions, Capital Market Operators, Asset Management, Exchanges, Depositories, Clearing Houses, Law, Accountancy, and Management Consulting.

We are an independent private sector initiative, a member-led and funded non-profit company focused on advocating for the improvement of the business environment for the FPS sector in Nigeria while promoting the value of the sector to the wider economy. Our Founding Members include Aluko & Oyebode, Chapel Hill Denham, Coronation Merchant Bank Limited, FBNQuest Merchant Bank Limited, FMDQ Group, The Nigerian Exchange Group, Tengen Family Office represented by Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede CON, Templars, PwC Nigeria, Central Securities Clearing System Plc., Access Bank Plc, Custodian Investment Plc, DLM Capital Limited, Investment One Financial Services Limited, and Tangerine General Insurance Limited. Advisory Council

EnterpriseNGR’s Advisory Council is yet to be constituted but will be the senior consultative forum of the Company. The Advisory Council will consist of a high-level representation of industry leaders, and relevant stakeholder institutions.
